A young gymnastics coach Artem Skliarov died in the war with the Russian occupiers.
He was born on 28 March 1994 in Bila Tserkva. He successfully trained in gymnastics at the local Children’s and Youth Sports School № 1. He won medals at competitions of various levels and received the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine. After finishing his sports career, he continued to work as a coach at his home gym.
In 2016, he joined the army, and a year later he signed a contract and joined the State Border Guard Service. After the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he and his comrades defended Ukraine from the Russian occupiers. Most recently, they repelled the invaders’ attacks near the village of Makiivka, Luhansk region, where the enemy forces tried to break through the Ukrainian defence.
