The hand of a man with blue and yellow bracelets found in a mass grave in Izyum, whose photo went viral, belongs to Ukrainian soldier and boxer Serhii Sova.
After the liberation of Izyum, Kharkiv region, more than 440 graves of murdered and tortured civilians and Ukrainian soldiers who defended Ukraine were found in the forest. One of the photos of the exhumation procedure went viral because it became a symbol of the invincibility of every Ukrainian and another proof of the atrocities of the invaders.
In the photo was a hand with two blue and yellow bracelets. In this photo Oksana Sova recognized her 36-year-old husband Serhii Sova from Nikopol, Dnipro region, who has been defending Ukraine since 2014 and fought for Ukraine against the Russian army to the last.
She said that Serhii had been fond of sports since childhood, boxed for ten years, held the title of candidate master of sports, and was a Ukrainian junior champion. After they got married and set up a family business of breeding professional breeds and training dogs, which later became champions of prestigious competitions. They also had two children, 14-year-old Marat and 9-year-old Elina. In addition to cynology, he became interested in military affairs. He decided to serve in the Air Force of Ukraine. And in 2014, when the anti-terrorist operation began, Serhii was called up to the military service in the first wave and joined the 93rd separate mechanized brigade “Kholodnyi Yar”.
