After the release of a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war on September 21, the death of 25-year-old Stanislav Artemenko, a fighter with the «Azov» regiment, was confirmed.
He studied at school № 10th and № 16 in Kramatorsk, then at the machine-building college and at the State Medical Academy. He was a professional boxer.
In 2020, Stanislav joined the «Azov» regiment. In February 2022, he fought with the Russian occupiers in Mariupol. Following orders from the command, the defender was taken prisoner along with his comrades.
His fate became known only after the «Azov» fighters were released from captivity. According to their information, Stanislav Artemenko was transferred to the same hangar in Olenivka where the Russian occupiers staged their dastardly terrorist attack on July 29, 2022.
