Viktor Pitsul was born and raised in Chernivtsi. He had a passion for football, practiced powerlifting, and held the 1st sports rank. He dreamed of becoming a design engineer.
In April 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior soldier and assistant machine gunner in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade.
He died on June 17, 2014, near the city of Shchastya in the Luhansk region. In that battle, seven other soldiers from Bukovyna also lost their lives. He was just five days short of his 24th birthday.
