Vitalii Lychmanenko died fighting against Russian invaders.
Originally from Kremenchuk, he was called up for military service during the mobilization on March 7, 2022. He served as a soldier and grenade launcher in an infantry battalion. His wife opposed his decision to go to war, but he reassured her, saying, “I’m going so you can live in peace here,” and went to the recruitment office.
Before the war, Vitalii practiced Greco-Roman wrestling and was a candidate for master of sports.
He leaves behind his parents, wife, and daughter.
