Dmytro Shpak

Dmytro Shpak died during the fight against Russian occupiers.

He had been involved in sports since childhood, becoming a Master of Sports of Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling, a finalist of the European Grappling Championship, holder of the 1st dan, and a candidate for Master (brown belt, 5th degree) in jiu-jitsu under the Combat Arts Academy “Honor” system.

At 37, Dmytro became the champion of Ukraine in kettlebell lifting among amateurs. He was a co-founder of the children’s sports club “Putyvl.”

He died on November 4, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia region.
