The Russian aggressor’s war claimed the life of another Ukrainian athlete – the decorated boxer Andriy Ohorodnyk.
In 2016, he graduated from the Volyn Regional Lyceum with advanced military and physical training, named after the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. He pursued boxing and achieved high results in 2018, winning the national cup in the under-52 kg category and becoming a bronze medalist at the Ukrainian Championship for men under 22 years old, held in Mariupol. Andriy was part of the national team and held the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine.
