While defending Ukraine, judoka Mykhailo Chyngar perished.
He was born on February 12, 1995, in Lviv. From a young age, he knew the direction he wanted to pursue. To achieve his goal, he graduated from the “Lviv Economic and Legal Lyceum,” a school focused on professional preparation, and in 2014, he completed his studies at the Lviv Cooperative Vocational College of Economics and Law, specializing in “Law.” Later, he obtained a higher legal education at the East European University of Economics and Law, named after Rauf Ablyazov. Outside of his studies, Mykhailo had a passion for judo, earning the title of Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine.
From 2014 to 2017, Mykhailo served in the National Guard of Ukraine. The full-scale invasion compelled him to take up arms again. In response to the invasion, he volunteered to join the Special Operations Detachment “Azov” of the Eastern Operational-Territorial Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, where he served for nearly a year. On January 24, 2023, Mykhailo Chyngar was killed while defending Ukraine from Russian invaders. He was only 27 years old.
