He took a leave of absence to go to the front. While defending Ukraine from Russian invaders, candidate for Master of Sports in hand-to-hand combat Artem Prysyazhniuk lost his life.
Born in the village of Yakymivka in Zaporizhzhia region, Artem was professionally engaged in sports, including boxing, sambo, and hand-to-hand combat, where he held the title of candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine. His passion matched his profession. Artem started his career with the Security Service of Ukraine, then won a competition and transitioned to work in the central office of the State Bureau of Investigation.
After the full-scale invasion began, Artem took a leave of absence from the State Bureau of Investigation and voluntarily joined the frontlines, swapping a prestigious job and a good position for military service and the frontline. He served in the ranks of Ukraine’s military intelligence.

On March 18, 2023, a military-sports multi-event tournament was held in Zaporizhzhia in memory of Artem Prysyazhniuk. These competitions will now take place annually.
