Ihor Pashko

After returning from abroad, he joined the defense of Ukraine—and gave his life protecting his homeland.

Ihor Pashko was a native of Lviv. He spent his childhood and youth in Italy, where he attended secondary school and later trained as a mechanic at a technical institute in Rezzato.

He was passionate about boxing—devoting his free time to the sport, competing in tournaments, and coaching the younger generation of boxers.

With the outbreak of the full-scale war, he joined Ukraine’s defenders. Ihor served in the 14th Ivan Bohun Red Viburnum Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, holding the line in the Zaporizhzhia sector. He was killed in action in November 2023.

On July 2, 2025, the city of Lviv bid farewell to Ihor Pashko. He was laid to rest at Lychakiv Cemetery, in the Field of Honor dedicated to Ukraine’s modern-day heroes.
