Anastasiya Ihnatenko, an athlete, coach, and judge in sports acrobatics, was killed in a terrorist attack in Dnipro.
Anastasiya was a master of sports of Ukraine in acrobatic track jumps, a multiple champion of Zaporizhzhia region, and a medalist in Ukrainian championships.
She was known not only as an athlete but also as a coach and a national-level judge in sports acrobatics.
She was killed on January 14, 2023, in a Russian terrorist attack in Dnipro. She was 27 years old. A week before the tragedy, she rented an apartment on the 7th floor of a building that no longer exists on Naberezhna Peremohy, 118. She lived there with her husband Dmytro and their one-and-a-half-year-old son, Makar. The child’s body was never found, only those of Anastasiya and Dmytro.
Anastasiya had worked as a coach at the Dnipro “Vivat” club for eight years. She had immense potential, always striving for development and understanding the essence of things.
She coached children’s groups ranging from 4 to 8 years old and 9 to 15 years old, as well as adult groups. Among her students were multiple champions and medalists in regional acrobatics competitions (Dnipro region), finalists in national competitions, and several first-class athletes and candidates for master of sports.
She was actively involved in organizing and officiating city and internal club competitions.
