Anatoliy Potaychuk was born in the village of Babyntsi, Bucha District, where he also lived. He graduated from the local school and played for the local football club “Katan.”
He lived and breathed football, never allowing himself to miss a match for his team, determined not to let his teammates down. He was a legend of FC “Katan” (Babyntsi), for which he played for nearly 20 years.
When Russian aggression began, he volunteered for the Kyiv Territorial Defense, and later joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died on June 27, 2022, during the battles for the city of Izium in the Kharkiv region. He was laid to rest on July 2, 2022, in his hometown of Babyntsi.
