Artem Osin fell in an artillery bombardment while performing a combat mission. The tragedy occurred on January 12 in Donetsk region.
Artem Osin was from Poltava. He was a candidate for master of sports in four types of wrestling: Greco-Roman, freestyle, sambo, and judo. With the onset of the full-scale war against Ukraine, he took up arms to defend his country. On January 12, he was carrying out a combat mission in a hot spot in close proximity to the enemy.
Comrades recall that “Ozzi” was a brave and courageous warrior, and proved it through his actions. He left behind two children.
The commander of the special operations unit “Centuria,” Vitalii Bors, wrote that Artem Osin had joined their unit recently but had already made a strong impression:
“You were new to our unit. And our acquaintance was quite peculiar. You talked a lot and put your five kopecks in everywhere. But you were one of a kind, and that was your trademark. You were cheerful and brave, especially on your last Thursday.”
