Bohdan Semenchuk died while defending Ukraine’s independence.
Bohdan was born on June 12, 1993. He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, he volunteered to defend Ukraine. As part of the 1st Separate Brigade of Special Purpose named after I. Bohun (a unit of the UNA-UNSO), he served as a machine gunner.
In civilian life, he played football, being a member of the amateur club “Sluch” from the town of Berezne, Rivne region.
On March 13, 2022, during a combat mission, his group was ambushed. In the ensuing battle, while covering his comrades, “Semen” fell.
He was posthumously awarded the Order of “Courage” of the third degree.
