Defending his homeland from Russian invaders, Ukrainian boxing champion Oleksandr Chornyi was killed.
During his professional career, he had 117 fights and 86 wins. He became the Ukrainian Youth Champion, he was a member of the national team, Master of Sports of Ukraine, winner and medallist of national and international competitions.
Later, he turned his interest in sports into a coaching career. Oleksandr studied at Khmelnytskyi National University and Lviv State Institute of Physical Culture, specialising in coaching and physical education. Before the full-scale Russian invasion, he taught boxing to children at the «Aperkot» club. He could have trained many more generations of Ukrainian boxers, but the war changed everything.
