Danylo Bohuslavskyi

On the Kherson front, Danylo Bohuslavskyi, a player for the Uzhhorod football club “Lumberjacks,” was killed. He died while rescuing an injured comrade from the battlefield.

Danylo Bohuslavskyi was a multiple-time Ukrainian champion in American football. “Together with his older brother, they did everything possible and impossible to ensure the existence and development of American football in Transcarpathia,” stated the Ukrainian League of American Football (ULAF).

According to the deceased’s brother, Roman Bohuslavskyi, Danylo volunteered for the war. “I spent my life trying to protect him from hardships, believing I was shielding him from all dangers. In reality, it was always he who protected me and cared for me. Even when we both joined the Ukrainian army, Danik always bought everything in twos – for both of us. He always thought of the family first, and only then of himself. Family was always sacred to him. He was the cornerstone around which we all gathered. It is impossible to imagine a better son, brother, or son-in-law,” said Roman Bohuslavskyi.
