At the hands of Russian invaders, 23-year-old hortingist Dmytro Dudka lost his life.
He was born on April 27, 1999, in the village of Lisna Velesnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. From childhood, he loved drawing and sports. At 15, he began practicing horting, combining training with his studies to become a woodcarver at the Higher Artistic Vocational School in his hometown. Due to his perseverance and hard work, he took second place in the Ukrainian horting championship, earned the title of sports master, and began working as an instructor.
Dmytro completed his mandatory military service and in 2020 joined the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He continually honed his military skills. In the summer of 2022, he trained in Great Britain as a UAV operator. His agility, skill, and cleverness earned him the call sign “Fox.”
Dmytro told his former coach that he had received an offer to continue his service in intelligence, which he agreed to and was set to join the new unit once he completed his current combat assignment.
On January 9, 2023, he learned that he had been appointed to the intelligence division. However, on the very same day, 23-year-old Dmytro Dudka was killed by an enemy shell near the village of Hryhorivka in Donetsk region…
He left behind his beloved wife, parents, and brother…
