In Donetsk region, the occupiers killed a 22-year-old Ukrainian defender and athlete, Maksym Kіt.
He was born on 16 November 2001 in Lviv. He studied at the “Provesin” Gymnasium and at the Lviv Higher Professional School of the Trade and Services sphere, after which he worked at a construction company. From an early age, Maksym devoted a lot of time to sports. He was fond of football and attended boxing club at the Lviv Children’s and Youth Sports School № 7. He was a multiple winner of championships in his region, a finalist of Ukrainian championships and repeatedly reached the podium of international boxing tournaments.
Unfortunately, his calm, peaceful life changed at a flash when the Russians began their full-scale invasion. And Maksym made a high ground decision to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine on his own. He fought in the legendary 80th separate air assault brigade. Despite his young age, he was a very brave and determined soldier. But war has no pity or mercy, it takes the lives of the best sons of Ukraine every day. On 25 May 2024, 22-year-old Maksym Kit fought his last battle…
