Maksym Yalovtsov, an athlete and leader of the Kyiv Dynamo fan movement, died defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence on the frontlines.
According to a comrade, Maksym was killed during a combat mission deep behind enemy lines.
He was the founder of the organization “Civil Security,” which initiated the CIVIL SAFETY ACADEMY project. The academy was established to enhance public knowledge of firearms handling and provide essential weapon safety skills. Before the full-scale war, Maksym taught grappling at the academy. He was the 2021 Ukrainian champion in grappling, a bronze medalist at the 2020 European Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship, and a master of sports in pankration and free fighting.
