He died on January 19, 2023, near the village of Makiyivka in the Svatove district of Luhansk region.
He held the rank of senior lieutenant. He was a candidate for the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine in biathlon. He graduated from the Kharkiv Regional College of Physical Education and the Kharkiv State Institute of Physical Culture in 1993, specializing in winter sports, cycling, and tourism.
On the first day of the war, Mikhail went to Dnipro to evacuate his family. Later, he joined the Territorial Defense of Mariupol when the city was engulfed in hellish chaos. He survived there but later fell in Luhansk region.
