A young coach from Khmelnytskyi, kickboxer Nazar Makarenko, died in the war against the Russian occupiers.
The boy was only 25 years old. Nazar studied at Khmelnytsky National University, worked as an instructor in sports centers, served in the military. He was a candidate for master of sports, champion of Ukraine in kickboxing WAKO, coach.
During the full-scale invasion, Nazar went to the defense together with his father. Together they went to the territory where the fighting is active.
During the war, the defender received an injury incompatible with life. A young son and wife survived Nazar.
The death has became known on May 27, 2022.
