On October 16, in the village of Torske, Donetsk Region, Ruslan Sapozhnik, a player for the “Vinnytsia Wolves” American football team and a fighter in the 111th Brigade, was killed while defending Ukraine’s freedom and independence. The hero was 32 years old.
From the first days of the full-scale war, Ruslan voluntarily took up arms to defend his homeland and fought to the last breath against Russian invaders for Ukraine’s peaceful sky. He was also one of those who helped revive the “Wolves” team in 2007.
