Vadym Denchyk

On December 3rd, at the 18th city cemetery in Kharkiv, we bid farewell to the chief sergeant of the reconnaissance unit of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade named after the Cossack Ataman Ivan Sirko, Vadym Denchyk. He was just shy of his 54th birthday.

A Master of Sports of Ukraine in trap shooting, a paratrooper who served in Afghanistan, a special forces operative, a devoted family man, a loyal friend, a compassionate comrade, a true brother-in-arms, and a genuine patriot of Ukraine…

From the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Vadym took up arms and went to defend us. He brought us closer to Victory, but could not preserve his own life…

At a terrible cost, Ukraine fights for its independence. The best sons and daughters of the nation join the heavenly regiment of our guardian angels every day.
