Vitaliy Parashchuk

A young and talented judoka, Vitaliy Parashchuk, lost his life in the war against Russian occupiers.

He began practicing judo at the age of nine and quickly became one of Ukraine’s most gifted and accomplished athletes, achieving victories at regional, national, and international levels. Notably, Vitaliy earned a bronze medal at the Ukrainian Championship and received the title of Candidate for Master of Sports. Over the course of his athletic career, he won more than 100 medals of various kinds.

In 2022, as the war with Russia began, Vitaliy made the courageous decision to join the frontlines and fight for his country. Tragically, he lost his life in combat on April 22, 2023, at the age of 23. Vitaliy is remembered as a talented judoka and a true hero, who gave his life for his country.
