Ukrainian football referee Volodymyr Bezborotko became an angel of sports forever.
He was born in the village of Horishni Sherivtsi, Chernivtsi region, studied at a local school, and then worked for the Chernivtsi Region Football Association. He made a significant contribution to the popularization of children’s and youth football in Bukovyna.
After the full-scale invasion began, Volodymyr voluntarily decided to defend Ukraine from the Russian invaders. He served in several hot spots on the frontline. His friends recall that he was a very sincere and open-minded person, never left anyone in trouble, and always came to help.
Unfortunately, on January 9, 2024, we received sad news from the front line: the heart of a good friend, selfless football referee, loving son and brother, Volodymyr Bezborotko, stopped beating forever in Zaporizhzhia region. The Hero was only 27 years old…
