Yehor Ryabenko

Vice-champion of Ukraine in Muay Thai, Yehor Ryabenko, was killed during a combat mission.

He was born on December 17, 1996, in Zaporizhzhia. In his school years, he began practicing Muay Thai at the “Pride” sports club. He was a multiple champion of Zaporizhzhia region, a silver medalist at the 2020 Ukrainian Championship, and since 2019, a working judge for Muay Thai in Zaporizhzhia region. Alongside boxing training, Yehor found time for football – he was a fan of Zaporizhzhia’s football club “Metallurg.”

After the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, Yehor, without hesitation or doubt, stood up to defend our country. He joined the Azov Regiment and, together with his comrades, fought the Russian invaders on the Luhansk front.

On September 16, 2023, while on a combat mission, “Ryaba,” as his comrades called Yehor, and his team came under enemy fire. Sadly, one of the shells hit the location where the soldiers were. None of the four defenders survived…
