Andrii Husiev was killed in the battles with the Russian occupiers in Kharkiv region.
He was born on 24 November 1980. He graduated from Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, where he studied international journalism. He was actively involved in motorsports and in 2014 became the champion of Ukraine in trophy raids, an off-road competition, and received the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine.
Andrii’s friends and classmates say that it is impossible to find a brighter and friendlier person. No conflicts or misunderstandings during all his years at university. Only optimism, positivity and jokes.
The fates of many university friends turned out to diverge over the years. So, unfortunately, some people find out about Andrii’s fate after the tragic event. He was the commander of the Special Forces group of the Special Operations Center “Omega” of the National Guard of Ukraine. He held the high military rank of lieutenant colonel. Andrii Husiev defended Ukraine and was killed on 3 June 2023 in Kharkiv region… The Hero was buried on 13 August in Dnipro.
