Another painful loss in the Ukrainian sports community. Anton Ihoshyn died defending the independence and freedom of our state.
Anton was a professional trampoline jumper and held the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine. He graduated from Kherson Physical-Technical Lyceum in 2013. Teachers and coaches describe Anton as hardworking, reliable, friendly, and incredibly open to others. The same words are spoken by his comrades-in-arms, where Anton served. After the full-scale invasion began, he volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participated in the defense of Mykolaiv on the third day of the offensive, February 26.
Sadly, on September 23, 2023, the heartbreaking news came: while on a combat mission and under enemy artillery fire, Anton Ihoshyn was killed. He was only 27 years old…
