He perished during the first week of the war, on the tragic night of March 2, 2022, amid an artillery bombardment of the city of Kharkiv.
Dmytro, along with his fellow cadets, was in the barracks of the Kharkiv National Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub. After a week of searching, his body was found beneath the rubble.
He was a cadet at a higher military educational institution of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A candidate for master of sports in weightlifting, he graduated from the Kharkiv Regional Higher School of Physical Culture and Sports in 2018.
