He suspended his sports career to defend Ukraine. Fencer Fedir Yepifanov was killed in the war with the Russian occupiers.
He was born on January 31, 2004. He became interested in fencing and later began to show good results. He was a champion and prize-winner of national foil fencing competitions, represented Ukraine at international tournaments, including 2021 World Cadet Championships in Cairo, where he was among the 16 strongest fencers, and also held the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine. He studied at the Ivan Piddubnyi Olympic Professional College.
From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, he decided to defend Ukraine, even though he was only 18 years old at the time. He suspended his fencing career and instead of using a sport rapier, he picked up a real military weapon.
