Ivan Zavolsky, a descendant of the strongest man on the planet, died in the war with the Russian invaders.
He was born on 13 June 1980 in Uzhhorod. Since childhood, he knew that he was a descendant of the strongest man on the planet in the 20th century, Ivan “Kroton” Firtsyk, better known in Ukraine as Ivan Syla. He defeated his opponents with a single punch, laid down under the wheels of a car for advertising and even conquered the Queen of Great Britain with his strength. The guy was proud of his ancestor and was also involved in weightlifting. He became a winner and prize-winner in various competitions and had the title of candidate of master of sports of Ukraine.
Despite his love of weightlifting, Ivan became a carpenter. When he was 21, he got married and became a father, and nine years later, his second daughter was born. Unfortunately, his life was not always full of happy moments with his family, whom he loved above all else. In 2017, his wife died, and he brought his children up alone. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ivan became a volunteer and later joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman and had the call sign “Tank”.
