Valentin Konovodov died during the war against Russian occupiers.
Valentin had a lifelong love for sports and weightlifting, training in Rivne and earning the title of Master of Sports. He also competed in grappling and jiu-jitsu, finding meaning in the philosophy of the sport. He balanced his service, work, and sport, finding fulfillment in each.
When Russia’s full-scale invasion began, Valentin returned from abroad to defend Ukraine, honor, and dignity. Recognizing his skills, he was offered a position in special operations forces, which he proudly accepted. He was focused on mastering new skills, always learning.
Valentin Konovodov, who gave his life for Ukraine, was laid to rest on June 14.
